Intern Program

In 2009 Pick-A-Peck Pickles launched an internship program for Yuba City High School students.  Through the internship program, students are eligible to earn a certificate of completion for a Food Science, Dietetics, and Nutrition Career Pathway.  The students are required to complete a sequence of courses with a minimum of a C grade, courses include biology or chemistry and nutritional science.  In addition, students intern 20 hours at Pick-A-Peck Pickles kitchen, create a portfolio with a resume and cover letter and perform a mock interview. 

        

This unique program provides a pathway for students who are interested in working in the culinary arts.  Furthermore, it gives them real world experience and a set of tools that they can utilize post-gradution.  Students who complete the program are honored at graduation.
